How the metaverse is reshaping the way I think and 5 ways it can expand the way you see the world
The Metaverse is Reality in a Digital World. Its really not far off from how we are interacting now, the only difference is there are no limitations. There is freedom to express beyond our wildest dreams. I see the 3D world as this infinite space with no sense of time. I think in reality as a collective we wish to reach new levels of creativity. In our current reality we are currently limited, but by spirit we are expansive. The Metaverse can really help us expand and revolutionize our minds. I am only talking from experience, as I work with 3D Art and worlds, it continues to opened my eyes that all things are really made possible. That is why I jumped on the metaverse so early in 2019, I can see how it will bring new opportunities to how we create, see the world and interact with others. The only mistake people can make in this space is not keeping an open mind, to see the possibilities, to open your imagination.
Here are some ways that can help you feel more confident about pushing forward when transitioning into web 3.
Making Money in the Metaverse
There are many ways to make income or a side hustle in the metaverse. Just think of the real world. Most careers can be applied to the 3D World. Will share some insight from an artists perspective. I am a Singer, 3D artist and Multi-Meta Performer in web 3. Being in the Metaverse for 3 years now, I have been able to make Money with the collaborative work like IRL brands, NFT Collections and also some contract work. A collab I worked with this past year was beauty brand, Valde beauty. A Luxury Lipstick brand sold at stores like Sophora. I was able to host, perform and do their Digital Art phygital Collection on the Bitski Platform. They even won best Digital Event of year by Glossier Magazine. Astounding. Not sure if this would be possible for me grinding in web 2. Not only did I make money, but I made connections and it has open doors to new and more exciting experiences. Since the space is still so new, it really gives Artists the opportunity to become the new wave of influencers and creatives. Collaborating with brands has allowed me to make money performing and doing what I love most, entertaining and share my joy of music. Money can also be made with fashion in the metaverse, Even if you aren't a fashion export, web 3 provides the opportunity to experiment and expand your talents. There are web 3 careers as well t
hat one can look into when they find their niche. Twitter spaces, Metaverse connections can really help you expand your horizons.

Finding Independence as A Artist
Now if you really want to be a independent artist in web 3, How much time are you willing to put into this ? Is this a career you want to make full time ? Can you dedicate time monthly and find brands or artists to collaborate with ? It all depends on how much time and effort you put into it that will determine your destiny. Its Possible to be an independent artist and be successful in web 3.
I would suggest Finding venues or galleries and showcasing your work. Be committed to sticking to your craft is key and don't worry about perfection just take action.

Quitting my career to pursue my dream
Now this may sound intense to just quit a career, but I did it. Iv been a risk taker all my life so I'm pretty confident in jumping the gun. Before the Metaverse I was working in Real estate. I've sold over 1 Million Dollars in sales and was making on average 5k-10k a month. BUT I was miserable. Deep down I know what I wanted to do and should be doing, its that innate feeling. Sometimes deep down we know what we want but are too afraid to leap in that direction. When the pandemic Hit, it was a blessing. It truly was, because now I had all this free time to create and that's when I discovered the Metaverse and Decentraland which has forever shaped my life and my journey. I wouldn't be writing here today if that didn't happen, I'd be in a cubicle just wishing upon a star. Now I perform Weekly, it brings so much joy and peace to my life and also I would have never discovered what its like to be in a community with like-minded individuals. I am still on this journey to really make it full time and make it sustainable but I am on my way. This is still new and at its infancy but so much to gain and build during these times. Believing in oneself is key when taking risks. Its self- Confidence, and I think that's what web 3 innovators are.
Lifestyle changes
I have to say, Not only has the metaverse expanded my creativity, but it is currently shaping my lifestyle. What I mean by that, it has made me question if living in America is the best place for me and I'm sure in the future will open the eyes of many for what is possible. The Metaverse gives opportunity to live remotely. We hear Digital Nomad talk tossed around, but with the metaverse I believe it will really drive Entrepreneurs to take the leap forward and try new ways of living and will create a lifestyle change throughout the entire world once mass adoption hits. Once you have active income in the meta, it will be possible to live in any country of your choosing. Most likely you'll meet individuals who are on the same journey. Working for your passion is a freeing feeling, and I think you can only gain more freedom from this. To see the Digital world and be apart of it, but also have the chance to see more of the physical world too.
Connections and Community
One thing the Metaverse and the physical world have in common is community and connection. We are all driven by this thing, feels magical, but it is to connect in some shape or form. Even though technology and devices is currently shaping the way we interact with each other, the metaverse does add this sense of community as we can be present in that same space and time in that moment. We can be in a room, event, and express ourselves we normally cant do with social media platforms. Some of these interactions have lead to IRL relationships and connections. There is a lot of power in that, as the metaverse is worldwide and eventually we will be able to cross platforms from multi metaverses.

There is infinite possibilities in the metaverse and all it takes is taking the leap forward and giving the opportunity to expand your imagination and your creativity.
