I decided to take the time and interview Robin Taylor on her overall experience. I think it is important to get a closer look inside the minds of new users, what they really enjoyed and to if there is anything we can adjust and polish.

Q. How did you first hear about Decentraland ?

"First heard about Decentraland in 2021 when I was getting heavy into crypto and trading in general. I watched many youtube influencers and youtube videos about various crypto projects and came across Decentraland. "

What drew you into wanting to know more about the metaverse ?

"What drew me into the metaverse was the 3D world. Coming from the live stream world where I was streaming music shows on apps such as LiveMe and Bigo Live, I was already a big part of a virtual world in that sense, being gifted virtual gifts by fans that lit up the screen as I streamed. I was already fascinated with the virtual world of live streaming, so to turn it 3D really intrigued me. "

You recently just performed in DCL, How was your first time experience ?

"My first time experience was honestly amazing! I was so surprised and honored at the turn out and amount of people that came and supported, and stayed for the whole show!"

Did it feel like a real gig ? Were you nervous or have the butterflies ?

"I definitely felt like it was a real gig, we even had an after party, because what gig is a gig without an after party?! I honestly wasn’t that nervous, I am usually much more nervous for a show in real life, and it was actually nice to be able to watch and enjoy it as my avatar."

What was one thing through-out the night that you noticed most or that intrigued you?

"I loved seeing all the different outfits on people’s avatars. The love and passion people have for the metaverse and wearables was incredible to me, and it made me realize how much people really love art and creativity in many forms. "

Do you see yourself logging into decentraland weekly, daily, or monthly in the future ?

"I definitely would love to log in to Decentraland on a weekly basis. I am in the process of upgrading my computer set-up to be able to live stream so I’d love to live stream in Decentraland more often once that upgrade takes place. I’d love to be a part of more events in the future on a regular basis. "

Is there anything you would like to do or see different your next time performing ?

"Being able to see the show as an onlooker definitely gave me lots of creative ideas. I’d love to create my own merch as wearables, and maybe drop some POAPS as well."

How was your experience with Serena Elis and her onboarding you to Decentraland ? Was it at any point confusing, was it smooth, is there anything you wish you understood more before your performance ?

"Serena is so creative and passionate. I’m so grateful to her for giving me this platform and allowing me to have this experience. I’m still new and she really helped me learn more about the world of Decentraland and about bringing music into this space. I didn’t think it was confusing, I come from the world of live streaming and performing so it’s a pretty easy transition for me. I definitely wish I had some better drip before attending but everyone was so welcoming and kind and even gifted me some wearables for performing so my avatar looked really cool while watching the show! "

"Serena Elis World As an independent music artist I am always on the lookout for an exciting performance opportunity and to meet other artists in various forms. Serena Elis World in Decentraland was an incredible experience, injecting me with a surge of inspiration of ideas outside the realm of what is deemed normally possible. I was able to put on a show with a 3D moving background screen, while singing live in my office studio in the comfort of my home, and meet other creatives. The turn-out was impressive, as was everyone’s outfits they wore to the show! I cannot wait to perform again and put more events on in this whole new world of possibilities. "- Robin Taylor

Thank You all for reading our Q n A for this awesome onboarding experience. Its very important for me to learn more about other creatives and how they think and feel as much as i
